About Me

I'm Natalie Halverson and for the past 27 years, Faribault has been my home. Throughout my career in public health, healthcare, nonprofits, higher education, and local government, I've worked to bring people together, solve problems, and strengthen our community. I'm running for City Council because I believe in thoughtful leadership, collaborative solutions, and a bright future for Faribault. Together, we can build on our strengths and move Faribault forward!

Faribault is the place where I've chosen to build my life and invest my time and energy. My husband, Kurt, and I are passionate about community service and enjoy volunteering together throughout the year.

Together, we have two children, two dogs, a couple of classic cars, and a vintage camper that give us an excuse to hit the road whenever we can. Whether we're off on a new adventure, volunteering, or spending time with family and friends, we value the relationships and experiences that bring people together and strengthen community.

My Priorities for Faribault

Community Partnerships & Quality of Life

Faribault's greatest strength is its people. I will work to strengthen partnerships and systems which support community well-being, and preserve the parks, neighborhoods, history, and amenities that make Faribault a great place to live.

Smart Growth & Responsible Investment

Faribault's future depends on thoughtful planning and smart decisions today. I support responsible growth, strategic investment, innovation, and infrastructure improvements that strengthen our economy while protecting our community's character and natural resources.

Stability, Affordability & Community Trust

Residents deserve transparent leadership and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars. I will focus on long-term planning, fiscal responsibility, and collaborative decision-making that leverages resources, builds trust, and keeps Faribault affordable and strong now and in the future.

Financial Donations

Every donation will be used to help me connect with more Faribault residents. From yard signs and social media ads to printed literature and parades. I want to connect with as many residents as possible. Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity!
